Prime95 not maxing both cores?

For some reason, Prime95 now will not max out the CPU usage in the task manager on both cores. I have two instances, both set to separate affinities, but the task manager shows only 56% cpu usage, the first core is fully loaded and the second one barely is reading. If I start the first instance stressing the second core, then the first core barely reads.

Could this have anything to do with the AMD dualcore drivers? Any help is appreciated.

are you running a custom torture test on each core and "halving the memory in use (MB):" option?

also: how did you set affinity? Setting affinity in the task manager for each .exe doesn't usually work for me.. I had to make two shortcuts to the original .exe and in one shortcut put -A0 and -A1 in the other. Put em at the end of the 'target' space to set each shortcut to a different core.

yup.

prime95 did stress both cores completely when I bought my computer 6 months ago.
also, my work computer is the same specs (but not overclocked) and it does not stress both cores anymore, either.

That is why im thinking it may be a driver?

well, if i use Orthos beta and do "Small FFTs stress cpu" then both cores stay at 100%.
If i do a custom and put in my memory (1GB) then the cpu usage sits low at 7% in the task manager.

And my 1M SuperPI speed is 39sec, i dont think thats very good...
