I ran prime95 to test system stability and it would fail overclocked in about 8 minutes. When testing it at normal speeds it would fail always on test3, about 18 minutes.
I was pretty pissed off about this failure, I just bought all new components, athlon 2500XP, 1 gig ram,
So what I did to fix the problem was install the chipset drivers rom my cdrom. After I had to fix winXP after overclocking damage I never thought I had to reinstall all drivers.
So now my computer is not failing in Prime95, even overclocked to 2.0gig.
Is it suprising that a chipset driver install would make prime95 not crash anymore? They always claim that its never software your problem.
