Ok guys, I had been having a hell of a time getting my E4300 to do anything over 3.17... So I swapped in my e6300 and 3.45 is very stable it seems (maybe even headroom) but I am having a problem...
Whenever I run Prime95 I get an error in the second instance that instantly kills the first. If I then try and start back the other instance it kills the one before it. It is just the normal rounding failure message.
I had a computer once before, that for the life of me would not be prime stable, yet it ran for a few years no glitches. But I am worried that I may be having a serious problem here... I do not know if it is a prime issue, or if I am just not stable. No BSOD or errors in games/crashes.... I would love some opinions. Are there errors in prime in windows vista 64? I had a similar problem even with the stable clocks and the e4300.... Could this be something else? If I lowers the speeds allot (3.0 ish) it seems to stop, yet I do not get errors if I run the test on just one core.
Well, here are the specs, and any help would be AWESOME
Thanks!
ASUS P5N-e, 2gig buffalo firestix, 2x500gb WD sata drives, plextor sata dvd-rw, XFX7950gx2, audigy 2, linksys wrt45g wireless pci, OCZ modstream 450wattm koolance exos2 (NB and CPU only)
