i really need a second opinion here...first of all..my 2 years old pc...

p4 3.0e @ 3.8 1.4375v 254fsb
Gigabyte PCU22-VG Heatsink
Asus p4p800se
4 X 512 KVR ram @ 203mhz 5:4 divider (2.5,3,3,6)
xfx 7800gs
550watt Atrix

i've been using this setting for about 2 month now without a single problem 24/7..not even a bsod...gaming (TOCA 3, GRAW, SCCT, Fear, RBR), encoding videos,(de)compresing gigabyte of data without a problem...i'm mostly gaming for about 2 -3 hours, except for GRAW which can last 4 - 6 hours because its so freaking hard...i've also benchmark using 2 x prime95 before for about 12 hours, 6 hours of memtest without a problem

The problem is this...last sunday..with a lot of free time to spare..i'm into benchmarking again...but by using 3 program simultaneously..prime95, mainconcept mpeg encoder (batch encode) and rthdribl 1.2...and out of my expectations, prime95 fails after 30 minutes...temp is 60c load...which i think is not so bad for a crappy heatsink..prime95 shows error..but mpeg encoder and rthdribl still working....i thought maybe its just a glitch so i benchmark again and for the second and the third time..prime95 will show error exactly in 30 minutes...

the real dilemma is...should i keep this setting knowing that prime95 fail even i've been using this pc without a single problem or try to solve the problem and live happily ever after.?....is prime95 fails really shows that your pc is somehow unstable..? any opinion is appreciate..thanks..

run prime alone not together w/ other programs. if you do benchmarking run each program one at a time.

so you saying prime95 is not suppose to run with other program simultaneously....and failing prime95 with others program running is somehow normal?

i've running prime95 before without a problem...

try running rpime alone and see. "using 3 program simultaneously" try running prime only and if it f*cks up then ur overclock is f*cked up! lower ur FSb until u get stable running prime.

i always run prime in the back when testing while running other programs. i think that if it fails durring that then its not stable.

i've figure out what the problem is....prime95 is somehow fail when i encoded using mpeg encoder in the background...but no problem occur while encoded using dr. divx...i can't running this program simultaneously..prime95, mainconcept mpeg encoder and rthdribl 1.2...but no problem when running this simultaneously..prime95, dr. divx and rthdribl 1.2...so all i can say is somehow prime95 has some incompatibility issues with mpeg encoder....so i think my problem is solve now...thanks for your help..
