Prime 95 and page files

i have 1 gb or ram.... but when i run prime95 in torture test mode i get peaks of 912 mb used of page fiels on my hd..... is there a way to stop this happening??

You can run a torture>custom test and allocate the amount of ram you need (are u using a P4) , if you are running two instances (prime95.exe -an) just give each copy say 350mb . If your using an AMD one copy set to 700mb or more should be good :) The cpu usage will not usualy reach 100% if you are seeing heavy page file usage (kinda defeating the purpose of torture testing) , you should see a constant 100% while prime is in use .
