I went to bed last night with my PC running fine [ I leave it running all the time, never shut it off unless to change hardware ]
When I woke up this morning, I was displayed a black screen saying Primary Harddrive Failure.
Comp wouldn't respond to keyboard, had to reboot by powering off and back on.
BIOS didn't recognize either harddrive being attached, and tried to do a network boot [ which failed cause I don't have that set up ]
I could boot to CD, so I stuck my XP CD in and ran FIXBOOT
After that, comp accepted keyboard imput again.
went into bios, refreshed the settings, and it recognized both harddrives again.
Is this a sign of my drives dying? or is it just something wonky that just happened for no reason, or what?
scared the shit out of me
