It looks like I might be selling my MSI 4870x2 (purchased 9/11/08) as well as a Gigabyte 4550 (purchased 4/24/09). I was wondering what kind of price I should list both of these for?

The 4550 is going for 45 on newegg so I was thinking perhaps 35. The 4870x2 is going for 425 - 450 on AMD's site so maybe 350? I am scared that with the 5xxx series out there doing Eyefinity I am simply screwed on price for the 4870x2.

Realistically I am looking to make enough to purchase a 5450 + ATI FirePro V4800 + Corsair 650 watt PSU. Total cost for all of those is 359 and I am going to also sell my Kingwin Mach 1 1000w PSU.

Let me know if you think those prices are out of line since I want to offload this stuff pretty quick, but not at firesale prices.

$30-35 for the 5450 and 300 for the 4870x2 imo. The 58xx series are just all around better. Less power, less heat, quieter, Eyefinity, DX11 and audio over HDMI.

Technically the 4870x2 does audio over HDMI (or at least mine does) however its not bitstreaming its LPCM :).

I think those prices are decently fair and that might be what I end up using. As stated the 5xxx series card prices just kill the resale value of my super expensive card :(

My bad on the bitstreaming, lol.

Yeah I know the feeling. I sold off my GTX295 for $400cad right after I bought the 5870 in January. Mind you it was still the fastest Nvidia single card since Fermi was still no where to be seen, so it still had value. If I were to sell it today it would probably go for around $300 as well.

I would put up an ad on craigslist or kijiji where the average Joe might buy it for a little more than what you would get on the boards here.

Yeah, I was thinking of craigslist as well since I also dont have shipping costs to cut into profit either.

Having a few years on the cards. I would think $250'ish range. heat and age. Also wear on the fans.
