has anyone ever use it to find some vendor other than mwave and newegg to buy something? any good?
 
Pricewatch is great, you just need to be discerning from who you buy from. Checking their consumer ratings with places such as www.resellerratings.com would be the best place to start.
 
Does anyone know which one generally has the lower prices? Or do they pretty much pull from the same vendors?
 
I've ordered from buy.com off of pricewatch and it went fine. Fast shipping too. I'd just check the reseller ratings first.
 
I'm pretty picky about internet retailers as returning stuff that is bad can be a horrifying experience if the retailer is bad. I wouldn't go with anyone less than an 8, and ideally i wouldn't go with less than 8.5(how low on a rating I will go also depends on how expensive the item is/ chance of being defective).
 
Some of the most valuable information on Reseller Ratings has to do with not only the over all score of the retailer, but also the customer testimonials. I find that a dozen or so testimonials is a good place to start - anything less than that I tend to be a bit wary about shopping from a possible fly-by-night shop.

Stores that manage to get a large percentage of positive feedback must be doing something right because we all know that its alot more empowering and gratifying to complain about a bad experience with a shop online than to give respect to a quality company.
 
Use both but noticed that both don't show some items that say Newegg has, IE I ran a search for Asus 9800Pros and both don't give a listing for Newegg yet I can run the search at NG's site and get it (just an example from several weeks ago).

So it's really a crap shoot sometimes, wish I had looked at AIB's reseller rating first. With pricewatch I usually search for the item and then look until I see a reputable retailer I know, and pay the 4 bucks more or whatever it is. It's worth it in the end
 
I'll second Coolerguys, I've ordered alot of stuff from them over the years including my present case.

Directron.com is an excellent company too, they're based out of [H]ouston.
