I am not sure where to put this, so move if need be, Im sorry for that.

I am wondering a few things here. Trying to purchase a hd mp3 player, and well I have found a 30gb Creative nomad zen extra for $179 from www.outpost.com. Now the STORE best buy(physically speaking) has one for $219......my question is, can I print off the ad thing from outpost.com and take it to a bestbuy store and will they price match to $179? Let me know if its possible, this is a price match from online(outpost) to in store(best buy). Thanks again!

No but you can drive to fry's electronic which is the outpost.com retail store and get the deal there. I'd call first tho cause they are famour for being out of stock. The Coppell Fry's is awesome.

Sears matches internet prices but Best Buy does not or at least doesn't advertise too.

Circuit City has more leeway in prices so the associates there can cut you breaks.
 
err, I took in a print off of an iRiver 20GB MP3 player off Neweggs site into Best Buy and saved $50 bucks.

In all honesty it really depends on who you talk to.
 
if you take in a price for BB to pricematch and they will lose money on the sale then more than likely they will not pricematch your price

but if the price you take in is still above cost and they are still making money on it, then they will probably pricematch it

I am not sure how things work in Michigan but in Dallas and the dfw area Best Buy employees are merely hourly and have no idea how much an item wholesales for minus of course the manager who is rarely if ever seen on the floor. Prices are set and kept. You get rung up at a register not by an individual who sold you anything. I guess you could try to take something to customer service and see about the matching there but again chances of getting to even talk to a high enough level manager to get any movement in price is pretty slim. The registers just scan bar codes to ring up prices.

I actually have a gift card to Best Buy right now so understand the guy's question but I doubt he can get a price match.

Fry's electronics however is the same site as Outpost.com and they will match their ads if you take it in. There are Fry's located all over the DFW area so he shoudl be able to get to one.
