Is it just me or have Nvidia cards gone up in price? I was pretty sure the GTX 260s were around $130 after rebate not to long ago on Newegg and now they are $200, why?

id think because people clamoring to find a red card cannot, so they turn to the competition... if the 5850 isnt available at $300... well wow, what a wonderful deal for $100 less this 260 is :)

thank you team green for having a card in stock that can play the latest games and is $100 cheaper

at least... that's my mindset

if you cant sell something for an upcharge... then most companies will...

A guy was selling off GTX275's on here for $175 the other day. It seemed like a so-so price until I looked at newegg. Holy crap every GTX275 is up to like 250-300 bucks wtf. His sold out within 10min of the post.

Maybe this is related to the availability issues of 5800 series cards? Some people just favor Nvidia though, I mean there are people that will just stick to a certain brand no matter what, because they have always had a good experience with them.

To think I tried to sell mine for 155 and the guy passed on it. My BFG 275 is still in my rig. Sigh.

I've been watching video card prices and just about everything has gone up a bit lately.

That would account for an increase. The real reason is demand is outstripping supply.
