Hey guys, I'm new to the mac world. I've got an opportunity to pick up a Macbook with the following stats;

2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Running Snow Leopard.

. The seller has told me that is New screen, New charger, New battery, New logic board.

I was wondering how much this is worth

EDIT: It's actually a Macbook Pro

That said, if it's got that much "new" equipment, I would avoid it like the fucking plague, but that's just me.

The 8600GT/x1600 on the non unibody MBP's where known for their high failure rates and the GPU is soldered onto the logic board which would need to be replaced if the GPU died, it's very expensive to fix if out of warranty. I'd say that $500 would be a fair price, but i would not personally buy a non unibody MPB because of the said issue.

Definitely not that price..

You should be happy if you can even sell it for $300-$400 for a old overpriced laptop that have GPU issue..

Shit, you're right. I read too fast, was thinking the C2D 13".

Ah, you're right, sorry forgot about that particular problem, I would agree with you however.

I think you guys are all wrong. These go easily for $500+ on ebay and at least that much on Craigslist. If everything is basically new I don't see what the problem is..
Just to clarify, is this a 2.16 Core 2 Duo or just Core Duo?
