Got my 3.2 prescott today its now running at 4ghz, done the run through with superpi no probs on the 8mb test. Been running unrealmark with a load of maps benchmarking and they run no problem (around 30 back to back maps or so). Just seems 3dmark will crash out, it gets to cpu tests and then it'll stop on the flying ship, i can hit ctrl-alt-del and i can get back to desktop. Is this usually a sign of an unstable overclock? To me it seems more 3dmark related since the other benchmarks super-pi, unreal plus a load of doom 3 benches run flawlessly.

If you can get back to windows then it has nothing to do with OCing, well nothing i have ever seen, normally unstable will restart or straight up just crash and kill your bios. so i think you need to reinstall 3dmark and/or install new patches if you dont have them already, they fit CPU issues, oh and try running 3dmark without CPU enabled for benching and see if it runs it through...Good Luck and good OC

Disabled it and got 5791, kidna lower than what i expected, my xt-pe is clocked back 20mhz on the core form defaults beacuse of some heat siiues though. Nice cpu though, only thing i dont like is my pwm temps are hitting mid 60's but that seems to be common for these.

So it ran through without benching on the CPU then there you have it you have a unstable system with that OC or it is getting to hot to haddle
