Hi All,

Here's a quick snap of what my system is running at the moment. Im thinking of running a PLP setup soon (im using my 24" for now till i find 2 used 2007fp's) and was wondering what a good video card would be, that won't bottleneck my current setup.

As far as budget goes, maybe not more than $250. Thanks!

nice rig, almost any 560+ gpu or 6950+ should be good, my BIGGEST advice is to stick with a 2gb card or higher for multi display.
 
Please go 600 series Nvidia or 7k series Ati. You will enjoy them better than the older stuff, unless of course you find a really good deal on one of the older ones. For example, if you can find a GTX 480 for under $200, they are amazing price/performance at the moment. However you currently have a 460, so you're going to want something considerably more powerful than that I'm sure.

Well if you want the latest generation, I'd recommend a Geforce 660 Ti for that price. You can get an ASUS GeForce 660 Ti with 2GBs of GDDR5 @ 1058MHz/6GHz for 259.99$ after MIR on NCIX.

I'll be getting an EVGA 660 Ti w/3GB GDDR5 myself now, as it's time for me to upgrade. My friend has a 660 Ti with a slightly lower clock (very similar to this card) from a different manufacturer and it rocks in all AAA titles. Given your budget, I'd say this is your best option - at least on the NVidia side of things. Not sure about AMD; I've always been a fan but I'm in fear of abandoning ship with AMD right now after Piledriver :(

thanks for the replies everyone. I think my only concern is bottlenecking my cpu + mobo. Ive read somewhere that the new pci cards are running 3.0 but my mobo still has the old 2.0 slots. Just worried I wont get maximum use out of the gpu.
