Premiere won't detect DVD burner...

Okay, so I got my NEC 2510A from the egg, and the main reason I bought it was to export my miniDV video to DVD using Premiere Pro 1.5. I know it is very easy to do (File->Export->Export to DVD), but this option is not available when premiere won't detect the DVD burner automatically, like it is supposed to! WTF, I have XP home, premiere pro 1.5 trial, which I thought was a fully working trial, I've reinstalled video and audio drivers, premiere, as well as Direct X. Anyone ever heard of something like this? I have the real version of Premiere on the way. Can someone confirm whether or not the trial supports DVD burners? I'm very annoyed at this point.
 
i can't comment much but i use premiere pro (7?) anyways the latest version and it detects my burner fine with XP Pro. Surely something fucked up with the trial version as you said. If you're in a hurry you could try Ulead Video Studio
