Can anyone tell me the preformance difference between the 2 i was looking at a geforce 4 ti of some sorts and one is 4x while hte other is 8x and i was wondering if there would be a huge difference

Currently you'll see no difference between the two. The hardware and software currently don't necessitate more bandwidth than 4x can provide.

Running a vid card at 8x as apposed to 4x gains you 1% to 4% at the most, faster fps in games.. That's pretty much it.

0 - nada - zilch....

Look at benchmarks between 4xAGP, 8xAGP and 16xPCIe, virtually 0 difference. +-maybe 2% max

the GF4ti series, I think the 8xAGP had slightly faster default clocks, but OC'd about the same.

now before 4xAGP, (2x or 1x AGP) you'll be losing quite bit of performance
