Pre-ordered a NZXT H630

Can't wait for some feedback OP..The Anandtech review really did a disservice by using twin, HOT air cooled GPUs when this case is clearly begging for at least AIO coolers, although I feel not using a custom loop in it is a crime!!

I disagree.
It's a case built for silence, and built to use either air or water.

I was very impressed with the looks of the case when announced, but the actual results (released in review form thus far) leave a lot to be desired considering the price.

Taking it "easy" on the case (by using a water only setup or a weak thermal setup) would be the real disservice. And it's not like they used 480 SLI on the 'full fat', it was 580 SLI.

While you and I have always had a history of disagreeing, I should have worded my post a little better..I would NEVER want a reviewer to take it "easy" on any product..The result of that would simply be a disservice to the enthusiast community..

That being said, NZXT is CLEARLY pitching this case as a silent, watercooling friendly case. Why else would they offer not 1 but 2 360mm radiator mounts? Yes you could use it with a traditional air cooled setup, but it would require much higher speed fans (thus more noise) to match even the worst AIO WC setups..

Concerning the fact that they used "580 SLI" instead of 480s doesn't change much..The 580 runs a tad cooler then a 480 at the same clocks, but you have to remember that the 580s were clocked a good bit higher then the 480s, so the difference between the two isn't anywhere near as great as you would think..

I feel the best way the reviewer could have approached it would have been with a traditional air cooled setup, and then a WC'd setup..Again, in a case that is clearly designed for silent WC operation, I feel it is a must of any reviewer to test it that way...

Either way, I will be getting one as soon as they are released since I can't use the second 360mm rad I have here with my current HAF932 and put it through it's paces for everyone interested in it..

I would be all over the H630 if it supported 3x140mm Rads. First world problems I suppose as if I didn't have a 3x140 already I would just buy 2 2x140mm rads and call it a day :)

I can't help noticing that it looks like a top-load washing machine. For a second after clicking the link, I thought I'd stumbled upon a white goods sale.

Maybe that's just me, or maybe I'm just hatin' because I only spent $50 on my NZXT Source Elite 210.

Seriously tho, that's a good-looking case. In either the white or black color. Enjoy!

I just ordered my water cooling parts and now I'm second guessing whether the parts I got would fit okay. I got a Swiftech H220 and another XSPC RX360 triple radiator to go along with it. Originally I was planning putting the triple radiator upfront with the barbs on top but looking at the pictures, I don't think that would work out due to the lack of space under the 5 1/4 bay. I don't know  Retell can you chime in and confirm a triple radiator up front would only work with the barbs at the bottom?

The alternative was to have the H220 up front and the triple radiator upfront. It just wont look as clean as I initially planned.

Did I miss where you stated which architecture and particular CPU you would use? Obviously, you're planning to either overlock an Intel, or run a recent AMD offering at rated speed.

I kid, I kid! :D

Not set in stone but I'm plan on piecing a i7-4770k with a Asus Formula VI. I'll be watering those down as well as a GTX 780.

Looks like a great case for watercooling, although a bit lacking in space for Hard Drives if you put both rads in? Why the heck does it come with earplugs, that isn't good marketing lol.

Cuz they come in useful when I'm listening to your case. :D

Obviously it's a joke and not really a selling point. Although I ride a street bike, I may use it when I take a trip.

Theres a spot for 2.5" drives on the back. I think I may just use a 5.25" to install a single 1TB drive. Once I get it I'll see what I have to play with.

We have? I don't remember disagreeing with you specifically that much in the past.

Perhaps I am confusing you with that "other" Zero guy??;)

That is exactly what I plan to do..I have a 256GB Samsung 830 SSD for my main OS/current Steam games etc..I use a 1TB WD Black for storage, which is going to sit in one of the 5.25" bays along with my Lamptron fan controller..

The only thing I am worried about is finding somewhere to mount my DangerDen rad res...I currently have it mounted horizontally on my 360mm rad up top in my HAF 932..While it doesn't interfere with airflow, it is a bitch to bleed fully..

I have tried every trick I know of, and cannot get the last bit of air out..I have read that they bleed much better if they are mounted vertically, so I was thinking of mounting it on the back of the front 360mm rad, I just don't know how funny that might look:confused:

Oh well I can wait.

I thought about it and thinking I am going reservoir-less and doing a with a quick disconnect on a T-line somewhere in the loop. Going to do the 360 at the top and the H220 at the very bottom. Hopefully I don't have as much trouble trying to bleed air from the system.

Oh well I can wait.

Man this has me bummed..The damn shipping on their site is expensive as hell, and no e-tailer has it in stock...I was hoping to get one @ MicroCenter, since I have two close by and I can open it up and inspect to make sure it's not damaged or missing anything..

Aww. Hope you're more patient than I am. Last summer, I bought an entire new motherboard - and paid to have it shipped 2nd day air - because I didn't want a month to go by while I waited on Gigabyte's RMA process.

I had done a new build and it quickly became apparent the mobo was bad.

As it turned out, this was a happy accident. I like the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 much more than the Gigabyte board I started with. Not simply because the ASRock board worked out of the box, instead of being broken, but the ASRock is just a much better board.

Got anther email from Maria and she said it is going to be shipping EOD. The only thing I'm waiting on now is a motherboard.
