So, I preordered the PS4 through Amazon. The 15th is a Friday, and Amazon says you will get it on release day, however, since I'm a Prime member, I did the overnight shipping for $3.99 to make sure I get it before the weekend.

Does anyone have any experience with pre-ordering off of Amazon? I just need to know if I still get it Friday, or would I get it Thursday? Maybe it's just a waste of $4, but regardless I'll keep the shipping as is. I just want to know because I was going to take the day off, but now sure which day to take off...

And no, it's not just because I want to play it all day. :p I don't know if Amazon is going to make you sign for it, so I either want to be here to sign for it, or be here to get it because I'm worried about people going around on the 15th stealing boxes off porches in hopes of it being a console. Call me paranoid.

It will show up in the 15th. It doesn't matter what the shipping method is.
 
I think you only need two-day shipping to get it on the 15th (which was free if you have Prime). They ship the consoles out earlier and hold them for delivery on Nov. 15th. I think the message looked like this:

Want to receive this the day it comes out?
Select FREE Two-Day Shipping at checkout.
 
Don't bother changing your shipping time now it could potentially delay your shipment. You'll get it on the 15th with a potential of getting it early if ups/fedex messes up.
