Pqi Memory any good?

i've never actually used pgi memory, but that looks like a great deal if you planning to use them at ddr333 speeds.

damn, newegg has four pages of pqi memory. never heard of them before. maybe
they're huge in asia or europe, like adata.

i read a review somwhere abt them (i think on gruntville) and from the looks of the review this memory overclocks extremely well with great timings

sorry if this has been asked before, but I am trying to find somewhere info on what all these "2-2-2-5 latency" jargon mean!!! I still remember the old days where you just worried about the ram being either 133, 266, 333.....I am going to be putting together an AMD64 and since RAM prices are through the roof....does all these specs mean a lot? thanks for any enlightment!!! :(

PQI used to be PMI. ClubOC did a review on some PQI recently and it got a 10/10. I just had my friend order a stick for the comp we're building for him.

Well I just used cpu-z (for the 1st time) and here is what I got!!! so does that mean the ram I had which I thought was 266Mhz is actually 166?? any explanation to this chart would be very appriciated

Module #1

General
Memory type DDR-SDRAM
Manufacturer (ID) Kingston (7F98000000000000)
Size 512 MBytes
Max bandwidth PC2700 (166 MHz)
Part number K

Attributes
Number of banks 2
Data width 64 bits
Correction None
Registered no
Buffered no

Timings table
Frequency (MHz) 133 166
CAS# 2.0 2.5
RAS# to CAS# delay 3 3
RAS# Precharge 3 3
TRAS# 6 7

No 166 Mhz is correct, PC2700 is DDR333 ram, which is DDR stands for Double Data Rate, so DDR333 = 166x2

thanks, realized something was up when i followed my pmi link and clicked on "where to buy and was being brought to pqi memory. I'm amazed though they don't have an announcement somewhere on the name change. Well, to answer the original posters questions, I have 2x1 gb PC3200 PMI memory and it has worked flawlessly for me.
