Did anything change while I was out of town this past week? Seems like my PPD changed a lot even though I changed nothing except reboot two of my e6400 boxens. I was averaging about 5k but now it's 1.5k more. I've also hit 9k 3 times this past week and a couple at 7k. But it looks like I'm still folding the same amount of units as before. hmmmmm...

There have been some new WUs introduced by Stanford for the SMP client, but they were released more than a week ago. Which clients are you presently running?

SMP on 1 e2140, 2 e6400s, 1 xeon 5140 and two instances of the standard console on a laptop..forgot what cpu it's running though.

From the above I would gather that your PPD increase must be coming from the new SMP units. Some of them have high values like the P3065, which is worth a staggering 2144pts. Maybe you received a good combination of WUs for your particular setups the past week. Just a guess.

I'll check the logs tomorrow. For now, I'm gonna sleep in my own bed for the first time in week.

Yeah, I noticed those new WU today ....

Kinda wondering if it would be better turn off my second SMP client on those machines and let just one run.

Have not decided yet ....

Enjoy, it's a wonderful feeling!

My ppd move by almost 2k depending on the mix I have.

Try it with one client and see if there is an overall drop in production. If there is, I would stick with two clients as long as they can make the deadline, which shouldn't be a problem for a quad especially with AC.

Looks like I folded a couple of those WUs. Cool!
