It sucks. Powmax is more a generic brand of PSU's. You'd be ahead getting a brand name (Antec, Fortron, Enermax, Vantec, Thermaltake) PSU off of newegg.com even if it's a lower wattage than be stuck with that.

Watts don't matter, the brand name is the biggest part of what you'll be looking for. The number 1 most important component in your computer is your PSU, if it goes it can take out your motherboard, CPU, video card and who knows what else...

I sell and buy A LOT of generic psu's, and i can say raimax and powmax i dont like.

Most work ok for their lifespan, but some have weird ass issues. Just weird stuff.

Usually though they'll work fine, its 1 in a whole bunch that youll have problems with. Just remember that they sell lots and lots of them, and most have no issues.

I bought a case with a 350 raidmax in there, it died. I went back and got it replaced... THAT one died. I was out of my warranty by then, so i bought an antec true430. End of story.

Generally speaking, power supplies that have explosion sound effects in their names don't fair too well

Yeah, my Raidmax PSU isnt all that great. It likes to make high pitched noises during loads and such. It still works, just kinda annoying.

Im really looking forward to buying a new PSU soon
