can someone recommend a power supply from here?
PSU.JPG

I would be getting this mobo http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=638 with a sandiego +3700 and a 6600gt, i was thinking something along the lines of 500w
the case will be a thermaltake soprano
any suggestions?

the calculator was fairly out dated and didnt real have anything im going to be getting, but atm i looking at antec 500w smart power 2, is that good?

:p

appearances can be deceiving
drives, PCI cards, mice, keyboards, fans ect are pretty standard
as are the requirements of a mobo

and the CPU processors arent that far out of date

what is the most important part of that calculator is the amp breakout
for a PCI-E card add 6.25A +12V under AGP other (you will be less)

and yes the Antec would do
you definately need an ATX12V V2.0 supply and thats one
a decent supply of basic spec compliance,
http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=26500
seems your fairly budget oriented there are other supplies Id personally consider over it
but theyd run higher

Watts mean almost nothing these days
largely they are inflated figures derived from backward compatibility and have little relationship to what a single configuration would actually be able to employ

its all about the amps and where they are

I actually thought i might get an Antec SOnata II case instead and that comes with a Smart Power2 450 watt so would that be alright, and i decided that i would get an Asus A8N Sli Premium instead so would that psu and mobo be comaptible
