I installed a new motherboard in my dad's system two days ago, installed windows yesterday, everything was working fine and hes playing age of mythology for about two hours and suddenly we smell something burning and his computer turns off, but the fans stay on except for the PSU fans(350w antec smartpower). So I figure its definately a psu problem, so I replaced the PSU with a 450w ultra that came in my case. I try to turn it on and it nothing comes on the screen but once again all the fans spin up, including the PSU fans. So I try to clear the cmos, because I didn't no what else to do, but still nothing. I am at a loss for what to try to do now, except possibly RMA the motherboard.

system specs:
A64 3200+ 939 pin
Gigabyte GA-K8U-939
1 GB corsair value cas 2.5
Nvidia 5700 Le (chaintech)
2 IDE harddrives and IDE dvdrw

To double check, try his powersupply in another machine and see if it works. But yeah, sounds like something shorted out or a capacitor blew.
