I wanted to change my old and somewhat loud Antec True Power 430watt for a Spire Rocketeer IV 600watt. When I do my computer will not post at all, everything spins up like normal just no beeping. I put my Antec back in and everything runs normally. My set up its a P4 2.4B, Gigabyte 8IK1100, 2 x 512 pc 3200 Crucial, 6600GT, 1 x 100GB 1 x 80GB, 8x DVDRW, and a Audigy 2. Is the Rocketeer bad ?

test it again. hook it up the very same way as the antec. if nothing happens the Odds are that you have a bad psu.

regards

I hooked it up again and still it will power on the computer, but it won't post. My old antec still works good with the machine. What would make the computer turn on but not post with the Rocketeer ?

i would rma the new one and try and get your money back.
Think about a corsair 520. The antec trio is on sale at outpost too.
its also a good psu.

I had a Antec 350 watt PS brand new only 2 weeks and 1 day my computer turns on but, nothing comes up on the screen. The lights turn on and fans spins but no post. Then, when I swapped out the Antec 350 power supply and hooked up my other power supply from another computer it posted. I was wondering that same question on how it could power up but not dislay anything? I'm guessing some internal circuitry malfunctioned within the power supply.
