I just installed a new PSU on a family friend's computer, and when I try to turn on the computer, all that happens is the CPU fan moves a little and thats it. I know its getting power because the mobo LED is on. Reply if u know why it isnt working and u can add me to MSN to discuss it, unless its a simple mistake and can be explained easily

It's an AMD proc (not sure which) with an ASUS mobo.

What kind of power supply is it? I'd use a different one to check to make sure that the power supply isn't the problem. New power supplies can come dead, or maybe it's just not powerful enough for that system. Try unplugging unneccesary things and see if that helps.

Tried all that, its the same PSU as I have in mine, and believe me, its more than enough to power her system...

Sounds like a short to me. Try pulling everything out of the case and run it just barebones, with only 1 stick of RAM, the proc, mobo, vid card, and PSU
