PowerEdge SC420----Another Server (possible Desktop)

It has been as low as $229 before so this isn't really a great deal. Also the PCI express slot is not the same as today's video cards so you'd need to mod the slot and run at a lower speed.

However, many of us here keep checking the prices on the SC420.

This is true.
I just picked one up for a little school i do work for.
It's pretty snappy for a small file server.

hehe, im turning this thing into a HUGE file server and still (for the moment) its fine.. going to get ~2gb for it tho
 
heh.. the slot aint so bad... i ordered a card for one from dell, so i wouldnt have to do the mod. and they send my some shitty brand x300, with a normal connector... i was going to return it... but i said fuck it
since it wasnt my money
