hello [H]ardforum dudes! i have lurked on this forum for a few years but never registered. UNTIL NOW!
A friend of mine gave me a PowerMac G5 case, and i think i want to put my dell into it.
if all goes well, i will begin the project tomorrow. i might even paint the case gun metal black.

Paint the beautifully anodized G5 case? :eek::confused::eek::confused:

And there are a ton of very good and not so good PC > G5 mods out there, I suggest you read through as many as you can. You will learn invaluable lessons.
 
Yeah, get new components? Don't put p4 crap into it. Get some new stuff even if you have to wait a while to afford new parts. All your wiring will need to be completely changed if you upgrade in the future. The Mac case is not going to age. Its design is simple so it will be timeless.
