Three 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors

Last week we wrote about Powercolor's latest Facebook teaser, the new mystery Devil 13 graphics card that will make its appearance at this year's Computex show that kicks off in Teipei on June 5th.

Powercolor is stil skillfully hiding the precise details regarding the card, but rumours that we heard about a custom dual-GPU Tahiti card are now making more and more sense considering that the new Powercolor Devil 13 card needs a total of three 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors. This power connector configuration adds up to impressive 525W of power (150W per 8-pin PCIe connector and 75W from motherboard), something that we have seen only on Asus' Mars II GTX 590 based graphics card.

It is quite possible that we are looking at two fully enabled Tahiti chips that will have an impressively high clocks. According to recent rumours, the new mystery Powercolor Devil 13 card could end with HD 7970 X2 name and considered as a factory overclocked, custom HD 7990 graphics card.

Strangely enough, there are still no precise information regarding the HD 7990, although it was rumoured to officially launch at Computex.
 
It is a beauty.

Though by now, I'm curious if a 7970x3 would be feasible with more power connectors. Tri-cf seems it could be a sweetspot...
 
Here i was hoping it was a ridiculously overclocked 7970. I guess i will keep waiting for the sapphire toxic.

I wouldn't either but my mom would probably flip out if that happened(she is very religious)
 
Sorry I meant I would wait until next week to see if the toxic would be announced at computex if not I am going to get the vortex II like you said.
