I just received a Powercolor X1900XT and discovered the power cables that are supposed to be in the box are missing. Also missing was a quick install guide that I've seen pictured in reviews of this card. Anyone else also have accessories missing from their box? This is my first experience with Powercolor and I have to say, it doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence in the company. I had spare cables so I was able to install my card but I do want everything I paid for. Should I contact Newegg or Powercolor directly to get the missing cables? Unfortunately, both seem to be closed on the weekend.

Yeah, the 6 pin PCIE power cable is the one that's missing. The other cables were in the box.

If you contact newegg they will say probably return it(you pay shipping and restocking fee)
and they will send you another one

Powercolor will probably mail you the accessories(you still pay shipping)

This is another reason why I will never buy a Powercolor product.

1) They make cards that are just UGLY LOOKING. Cheap pointless Rubber Flames, Ugly GFX on the HFS, ect.

2) I have never seen a Powercolor OC well... ever.

3) They are cheap ass bastards when it comes to what you get in the box. No Games, No extra software that is useful.

4) The Name Powercolor, just sounds cheap.

Are you sure newegg would charge me a restock fee in this case when the item is missing accessories? The box clearly says a power cable is one of the items in the box but I have to pay extra to get what I should have gotten? I guess I'll give newegg a call on Monday and see if they actually have to balls to try and charge me for this.

I can't speak to their other products but the Powercolor X1900XT is exactly the same as the one sold by ATI. They didn't modify it at all, same sticker, Powercolor didn't even add their name to it. I got it because of their lifetime warranty on X1900 products.

It couldn't hurt to just call Newegg and ask. See what they say, about the issue.

Ive got a PowerColout X800XT thats still kicking ass and eveything came in the box. As for you While that is a bummer do what anyone above said and your soon to be gaming, or do they sell that as an adapter anywhere?

Most X1900XT's purposefully did NOT ship the power connector because they say it requires a power supply with a PCI-E connector.

Aparantly ATi was being a stickler about it too.

i dont know if powercolor changed, but the last card from them, which i bought two years ago, came with two games, and overclocked like a beast. so i dont know, i guess everyone has different experiences. im about to buy the powercolor x1900xt as its only 479 on newegg...

Actually many brands do have the 4-6pin adaptor. Powercolor decided not to for some inane reason.

I looked on the newegg site and they don't show that it comes with a power connector, so you didn't get ripped off. If you really need one you can try a local computer store or something.

Yep, can't tell diff between this and an ATI card. Exactly the same. No power connector in my box and no included games. Most newer PSU's come with the connector, maybe that was their rationale (besides being cheap). My XT overclocks to the XTX speed with no problems.

I use mostly powercolor cards as ATI's when building setups for two main reasons:

1) 3 Year warranty on all products
2) incredible compatibility

I have yet to have a single card of theirs returned to me for ANY reason. I also tried GeCube - cheap design and cooling and not so great compatibility, Sapphire have had a couple of bad ones I've returned (Budget too!), Gigabyte cards are fine , though not as compatible or stable, I have a 9250 in a friends rig that wont accept any driver past 5.7 but is 100% stable on those...go figure, I've also had some bad experience with their PCB and cheap cooling on their 9700 series. Hercules was amazing, but now they're gone.

BTW - the name powercolor sounds cheap? What ? Inno3d, Point of View, and many others sound worse, and produce much worse PCB's and support. Powercolor is just a "retail" name , their real name is TUL-is that better?

As for the best quality ATI cards, definately ATI,MSI and HIS. Below that are Powercolor, Gigabyte and Sapphire, and below that I'm not sure is worth looking into...
of course this is IMO, from my persoanl experince.
