Yeah not a good card for those that want to overclock. But if your fine leaving it at stock or near stock clock speeds/power levels then it's fine.

Not much point, especially if your 290 unlocks like mine.
Now a reasonably priced 8GB RX480 is worth some consideration.

Couple of thoughts. One, pretty much every aftermarket rx 480 has worse VRM's than reference because reference is overbuilt. Two, technically the youtube video in question reviews Red Devil whereas this deal is for Red Dragon, The Red Dragon PCB might be different from Red Devil. And third, plainly speaking, that youtube video is garbage, if you open up the guy's channel he does a follow up video backtracking saying there is nothing really wrong with the card.

If one is fine with 4GB of VRAM this is a good deal of a card. However, I probably wouldn't "upgrade" from 290/290x unless power usage and noise is extremely important to you.
