Anyone have these cards and experiencing high temps with stock cooler? My 4850 finally died and so while its in RMA, I picked this up, but it idles at primarily 48-52C and goes all way up to 78-82C, with spikes of 94C. Isn't this too hot for the card or is this normal? Dont think 4850 ever ran that hot and the model i had was known for running very hot.

that's an arctic cooling HSF on there. IIRC, it does well on the HD5770, so those temps seem a wee bit higher than I recalll..
 
Thanks for info. I'm going to try to see if changing the PSU helps, as those temps are actually lower than what I was originally getting. I thought it was a bugged out 6-pin cable I had (as when I connected the graphics card directly to PSU's dedicated 6-pin adapter for graphics cards, the temps were like 80C idle, as opposed to those temps using the 2x4-pin->6-pin adapter).
 
That does seem hot. I've got that same card, and it's no where near those temps.
 
Put one in each of my nephews computers for last xmas, exact same model. Neither runs that hot.
