Power to SATA? (sorry, double post)

sorry for the double post, but I needed to get a quick solution to this...

Which power connector should I use for the SATA HDD. My PS comes with a SATA power connector as well as 4 pin connectors, and my HDD has the SATA power connector and the other 4 pin...I assume the SATA and 4 pin are the same, and I should use only one...most likely the SATA...is that correct?

Also, is there any diffence in using one over the other?
