heyas everyone
i have a spst toggle switch with a led in the tip i would like to use for my computer power switch.... now i know the regular power switch is spst mom n.o. so im looking for some feedback on if this is even possible. ive been roaming through the forums couldnt really find anything other than possibly wiring the switches in series... so switching the toggle on would allow the regular momentary switch to be pushed? not sure if thats right either.... any info would be appreciated
 
You could try to somehow springload the switch--modify it so that it will only go to closed momentarily, then push the toggle back. That would probably entail physically disassembling the switch, which might not make it worth the effort, though.

 
You could use some electronics to get a momentary closure from the toggle switch. But it would be easier to just get a momentary switch.
 
hrmm well if i have to use the momentary switch i will but i gotta use this toggle switch fer something :) so is it possible to wire a toggle and a momentary switch in series so that flipping the toggle would allow the momentary to be activated? just curious.... because in my infinite wisdom i have already mounted the damn switch lol
 
Yes, you can use the toggle switch as a sort of "safety" for the momentary switch. Just put them in series, like you said.
