Hello,

What we thought was a bad processor fan, has turned into a bad power supply on my friend's Dell 2200 desktop. The specs for Dell state that the power supply is 145 watts. Any recommendations on which one I should buy? i.e brands or shops online to buy one.

Thanks,
Lance

Unfortunately, you have very few choices, since Dells use a proprietary power supply that you can only get through Dell. They rewire their connectors, so you can't use a regular ATX PSU in the Dimension 2200.

You have two options:

Buy from Dell.

OR

Buy from PC Power and Cooling

Lame huh?
