Power supply suggestions

No, I wouldn't buy that one. And there is a reason for it, too. Look at the voltages mentioned in the ebay link. Look especially at the +12V rail. It's under 20A. Now, the 12V rail is very important in your computer, maybe THE most important rail you have in a computer powersupply. Anything under 20A at the +12V rail is not worth my money at least.

Don't get me wrong, some powersupplies have huge +12V rails over 30A but are still crap, but generally, I wouldn't buy a PSU with the +12V lower than 20A anymore. Especially when you have lots of components and a relatively new processor generation. If you then have a newer Videocard, then your PSU screams when the 12V rail is too low and you'll run into problems.
 
That looks like a steaming pile of shit. BTW why would you buy a PSU from newegg? For all you know it was used and might work half ass. Put the money toward a low end Antec PSU at least. Or better yet buy a low end $40 ANtec case with a 33watt Antec PSU.

My next PSU will be a www.pcpowercooling.com but I doubt that they make a PSU in your price range. The cheapest is $50.
 
1) dont trust ebay for anything like that.
2) That has a buy it now price of 20$, and a shipping fee of about 20. If you have your heart set on that go to newegg and buy it NEW for 25$ with 7$ shipping and come out 10$ ahead.
3) You are not goign to get a quality power supply for 20$. Save your money and buy a decent one, such as those made by pc power and cooling, the antec truepower series etc.
 
Dammit! Newegg doesn't ship to Canada. I'm Canadian. It's cold outside. Shit! That's some good info though...
 
Hard to tell. It's a brand I've never heard of, but that doesn't mean it's bad. If it's $70 CAN, then you can give it a try. Just make sure you can return it if it doesn't work out well.

Otherwise, stay with known brands like Antec or Enermax or something similar. Look for reviews on the web. A good PSU is one of the most important things in your Computer and usually a higher quality PSU costs you a couple bux more....
