Power Supply Suggestion!

When you test the rails through the software, even if they are all tested the same way, the Motherboard is the one reporting the stabilization of the rails and a Motherboard can react in different ways to different PSU's. I've seen motherboards report a persons rails as being near perfect when in actuality its was undervolting or overvolting one or more of them causing power fluctuation issues.

Good read thanks.

LOL :p

I still stand by that statement
------------------------------------------------
this is not a court of law, when it comes to a "cheap" PSU
they are presumed guilty until proven innocent

------------------------------------------------
and Id even extend that to otherwise quality PSUs at this time
(and the Tagan appears to be a quality unit)

its simple,
the importance of a quality and proven (as in tested) voltage regulation scheme, increases proportionally with the expense of the components its powering (or the value to the individual, money coming harder for some than others)

Superficial you seem to have missed this link so I'll post it again

[H]ardcore PSU info

specifically
http://terasan.okiraku-pc.net/dengen/tester/index.html
http://terasan.okiraku-pc.net/dengen/tester2/index.html

short and simple
until multimeter votage regulation graphs taken under a dynamic load do become available for a given power supply, I will under no circumstances recommend it to power any of the current crop of motherboards. The power supplies of last year, may tow the line, then again they may just fry your RAM.

"the majority of damaged RAM returned to memory manufacturers is destroyed by fluctuations in the voltage."

the Antec truepower line (and only the truepower line, not the trueblue ect) employs dedicated output circuitry for each rail, and voltage feedback for line stability

and as those charts also display the PCP&C also maintain a very tight voltage regulation (spec'd at 1%), but more to the point, the multimeter charts show the transient response with a dynamic load

I agree with burningrave101, when he questions the validity of the "reviews", and I know for a fact that Kyle will not review a PSU, because he cant do it justice, yet every other bozo on the net seems to have no problem
in that its much like HDD testing, lots do it, I know of only 2 sites you can trust to do it right
