Power supply reccomendations?

ahh you found our lighting rod :p

we generally make actual recommendation based on need however ;)
(thus the How to Buy a PSU thread)

the ins and outs arent really covered in computerpro3's list
its also under constant revision and debate

hey ice whats your opinion on enermaxs coolergiant psu? thinking bout buying one. looks good but you would def. know (you da man!) reason why i ask is my psu is hurting big time i adjusted the trimpot but she dips to 11.6 under heavy load TT W0008R

for some reason more people opt for the Noisetaker series
I think that is because that series has been out longer
( it bridges the changeup from ATX12V v1.3 to ATX12V v2.0)

the Cooler Giants are all ATX12V v2.0 and nice supplies
strong and reliable with basic spec compliance ;)
I think they have been under appreciated

If your likely to get SLi in the near future
Enermax has the EG565 series in the works (not quite in the distribution channels yet)
its specifically geared to SLi

as always Id recommend running the numbers,
its very likely that a Cooler Giant would handle an average SLi config as well,
its all dependent on the actual config and amp requirements ;)

thank ice you sold me. and i wont go sli until proven. unproven and not mature for me to(invest notyet)placing order today I thought they were good but couldnt find too much info on them. after reading your post i have no hesitation thanks again you da man!
