power supply question

i have been looking for a new power supply and found this 550w PS on ebay. Should i take a chance with that power supply or play it safe with the thermaltake 420w silent purepower power supply.

Go Thermaltake in this case. The 550w is made by Lead Power, and I've never heard of them.

As long as you pick a name brand most "normal" people dont need anything over 350-400w PSU's for high end systems.

Get an Antec, Enermax, Thermaltake, Fortron, or something of that nature.

I just got an antec truecontrol 550 a few days ago and love it. I do completely realize it is overkill but I was tired of haveing cheapies and wanted something good and stable. Works for me!

*sigh* you can have a brand name PSU, they are the best. Admittedly, 550W is overkill, but i don't mind generics.. work for me.
