I just got a new server setup. I have a XP 1700+ and an asus mobo. THe PSU is o.0 75 watts and look at the 12v and the -12v rails. http://www.boomspeed.com/compcrazy11/volts.jpg

The computer works fine. RIght now im folding (almost finished my first project!! go me) Do you think my hardware could get damaged by the 12v and -12v rails being how they are?

****EDIT**** and look at the 3.3 and +5 votls... PSU is from 1998 lol
 
Being too low, probably not. If they jump to being too high...bye bye mobo.

no and i overclocked about 200mhz (till i get better components) using the FSB
 
I would suspect that the motherboard monitor you are using is reading the wrong information on the +12/-12V rails from the hardware monitoring chip on the mobo.

I have seen this before.

I really REALLY doubt a machine would run with the rails that low. Check in the BIOS (under hardware monitoring or sumsuch) and see what that says. The BIOS will (should?!) give you the accurate readings.

If they are the same as your previous results, you have me stumped!

good call, the bios reports that th 12v rails are about 12.2. Thanks
 
Very glad to help.

You might try motherboard monitor to give you the information you need. Have been using it for years. Even shows information in the system tray, if you are into that!
