i have a 350W antec PS running my system that im about 95% sure is not enough power to run it, but im ordering a antec true 550 soon. the previous owner of the 2.4c had it running at 3.6 but i cannot seem to get it stable at 3.4. everything seems to flake out at about 285~ mhz. i rma'd the motherboard because the onboard lan was bad but when i got the new board, it was still stopping at the same speed. is it possible that because the PS is too weak that it is preventing me from overclocking to higher speeds?

What kind of OC are you looking for? Man, your already 1Ghz over! Maybe your rig is different the the guy you bought it from, ever think about that?

Anyway, I think that if you monitor the rails with some software it'll tell you if your voltages are starting to drop or not.

the amount your spending in replacing stuff/getting an exos you could of just bought a 3.0/3.2 and hit 3.5 easily no one ever thinks of that when they buy a cheap cpu...

Maybe you should keep your ps and get a new graphics card. You'll see a performance difference there

No sh!t man, a 5600 isn't going anywhere on the 2.4, who cares about 3.6. Go buy a real video card, 9800 Pro 128mb's are cheap as hell. Oh, and yeah, I'm using a 460Watt Sparkle Active PFC, and I'm not even overclocking. Make sure that Antec has the Active PFC, it helps keep your voltages stable. Also, I don't like Antec power supplies. Feel too cheap- you should be able to swing it like a mace and be scared of yourself; if not, it's not heavy enough, lol.

im probobly going to buy an antec true550 or true480 ps this month, then maybe next month ill look into a new graphics card. i was going to wait till the x800's and 6800's came out more so it would drive the prices down but i guess it doesnt really matter.
