I have a system here at work that is almost 2 years old. When the system is up and running there is no problems, lockups, freezes, nada.

When I shut the pc down, and come back later or the next day sometimes I have to press the "power button" a couple times before it actually powers up...?

I wouldnt think the actual button is going bad??? but could it be the power supply getting worn on me?

what do you all think?

It could be either one going bad, but I would actually guess the physical switch before the power supply. I've had those go a couple of times on generic comps

how do you replace a switch..i think it would be best to start there before "switching" out the power supply (no pun intended ;))

To replace the switch you're just goint to have to take off the front panel of the case and see what you have under there. Most of them are pretty generic and you can simply swipe one from another case and wire it up in there.
