power supply for vid card enough?

Is 250 watts enough for a Chaintech GeForce FX 5500 with 256 megs o' ram? My friend is going to add the card to his HP Pavilion and it only has the before mentioned ps. We've found info saying it's enough for the 128 meg variant but have no idea if its enough for 256. Thanks.

and for the guy above you..
grab a cheap antec 350w or something... doesn't cost that much.. anything is better than a hp 250w psu...
 
I upgrade my entire comp from a hp pavilion so I know waht its like. Their 250 watts ain't that bad and shouldn't eat that much more power than perhaps that no name fx5200xt it came with. If you look in the hp pavilion website, they have a 9800pro as there option w/ the 250 power supply
