Ok, recently picked up a DVDBurner, and the ANTEC350 that came with my case is no longer cutting it. Trying to figure out what I need, as well as save as much as I can(I am a broke college student after all).

Running a AMD3200 with 1gig of DDR400 on a ASUS A7N8X, got 2 Harddrives(both IDE), a DVD player, a DVD burner(Toshiba for both) a BFG 6800 with a NV5Silencer. Case has 120mm, and an 80mm Fans. Only other thing in the puter is a PVR-150.

I "THINK" i've narrowed it down to

or

The first is rated at 400W, but has a 120mm fan and is already sleeved. The second is rated to 530W, and has 2 80mm fans, but isn't sleeved. I think both of these would be good "bangs for the buck" not sure if the first one is quite up to it.

go with the Fortron (FSP) 530

not because it has more watts, but because its an older ATX12V v1.3 supply with a proven crossload to power older mobos like yours, which lacks a 4 pin +12V mobo connector
and thus powers the CPU off the +5V rail ;)

its also fairly forward usable, the 2 sets of amp figures refelect it applicability with older and new boards

+3.3V@30/17A,+5V@44/24A,+12V@16/28A (CPU powered off the +5V)
+3.3V@30/17A,+5V@44/24A,+12V@16/28A (CPU powered off the +12V)

Ive used it before and its a great budget solution, best value in ATX12V v1.3 IMO
you really dont want an ATX12V v2.0 supply with that rig, and thats what the other FSP is
