well i just bought 3 ati radeon 9800 from a retail store , now i only was using one video card for 1 month , i never used any antialiasing or filtering. but yesterday i enable 2x antialiasing on half life 2 and it gives me artifacts on the edges of walls ( most visible on walls and stairs)
then i try with far cry and enabling 2x antialiasing , zero artifacts, but the computer restarts every 3 or 5 minutes.

i try with another 9800 pro (remember i have 3 of them) and i get the same results, artifacts on half life 2 and no artifacts but system restarts in far cry.

i try with the last one 9800 card and guess what? the same issues in half life 2 and far cry.

when i play those games(half life and far cry) without any antialiasing everything runs smoouckth no problem.

my power supply is an antec 250 watt :D

so do u think a power supply can cause artifacts?

system restarts im sure are caused by a poor power supply, but only when antialiasing enabled?

is my power supply the problem or im just having a %$@ luck buying 3 crappy 9800 ?

y would you buy 3 9800?
i say take them back buy a 500 wat psu for 60 bucks and go pick up a x800gto2 and unlock it for $150

well i bought them for $150 (50 each one, open box) i was planning to sell those cards on ebay and make some small profit.

Try them on another computer. Ask the store if you could use it there if you can't find anywhere else since they should have good enough service presuming they are in your area.

I say you have driver or system problems, although you could have three bad cards considering they were used or refurbs...prob all three with the same issues.

Spontaneous reboots is normally caused by a startup and recovery setting in my computer/properties/advanced/startup and recovery/settings...clear the automatically restart check box.
