Hello all,
my question is if having a cheap ass PSU will limit your STABILITY at a certian overclock? Let me elaborate. my nice antec 350W blew up (and took the mobo with it)
So until i can get back to my roomie in college in 2 weeks im stuck with this noname 300W psu. it powers everything (well everything if you keep in mind i have 4 of 5 HDDs unplugged.
But playing around on my K8N Neo2 and my watercooled 3200, i have it at 2.5Ghz and gets into windows and has looked stable for the past 2 hours. but when i play with prime95 it gives me errors after about 5 minutes? I dont have the data to say if it was stable on my Antec at this speed, i never played with it like that.
So this is just a general question: crappy PSU = instability in prime95 (but everything else stable)?
Thanks
Jeff
