What are the best PS's right now? I know Antec True, Fortron, Sparkle, PC Power (costly), and Enermax (?) are good, but any real deals out there? I noticed Fortron is rated better at MTBF than Antec.

What is the "PFC" rating? noticed Fortron has this as "active" in it's upper lines, but Antec does not. Which ones have the independent rails, or supplies or whatever for the different voltages, etc?

if you can't afford a pc power and cooling, get a fortron or TTGI.

But a PSU with decent power handling capabilities, and with a decent name. Although, i'm running a no-name PSU (most people on these forums would say it would be crap) with okay power handling, and it has run for over five years with no dramas, very clean power :D . The moral of the story: look for good power and good name, but don't despair if you end up with a slightly lesser-name brand.

Antec PSU's are the best for the price/performance IMO. They are just about as good as a PC Power and Cooling PSU and they are alot cheaper. PC Power and Cooling is the best but very expensive.

Antec PSU's have rock stable voltages with high efficiency and run very cool and quiet.
