Power stays on....????

I have a custom built computer running winxp and I noticed something today, when the computer is shut down the mouse light stays on and so does the MB light. Does anyone have a clue what this is caused by?

lol, they just do that! its not a problem. my Nf7-s' light stays on all the time.
 
You have to disconnect the power cord or hit the PSU's switch in order to cut the power to the motherboard. The red and yellow LEDs indicate the motherboard has power. It's nothing to worry about. It's rather nice sometimes, especially when the red mixes with the blue LEDs in my fans.
 
Hehe, but I have never had a "mouse" stay lit up considering its on PS/2 and not usb. I thank you guys for your time. :)
 
If you want to eliminate this lighting, simply remove the power cord from the socket, then discharge the capacitors that are storing the electrical energy to those LED's by hitting the power button. It'll look like you're booting up the computer again, but it won't go anywhere simply because there isn't a current feeding into the circuit and resistance wins.
