Power Spikes amd 2200+

I'm rather new at OC-ing and all but I was testing my old amd 2200+ because i've heard alot about turning it into a 3000+ by changing the FSB to 166 from 133, I couldn't get a boot at 166 so I lowered the FSB in bios to 145, and it boots and runs, but I'm watching my Asus probe and seeing power spikes on the 5v line and a spike on my vcore. I would suspect this to be normal my no means, I'm on a ASUS a7v8x if that matters any, LMK thx
