I recently built a new computer and had a problem with the mobo, to be specific I believe that the USB controller is fried. I stuck in a SanDisk Titanium Cruzer and it was really hot to touch after about 30 seconds. The case is the PLUS1080AMG http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-129-115&depa=1

With the 430W PSU, and i'm wondering if there is a problem with the PSU. I didn't have any other problems with the USB with any other usb device. The jumpdrive was put in the front USB ports.

Could it be the mobo is bad?
The jump drive is defective?
The PSU is bad?

The motherboard is the P4C800-E Deluxe, I had probe installed and it looked like the voltages were in acceptable ranges. I could use some advice.

Thanks

Are there any other USB devices installed on your computer, modem, LAN, printer etc? If they are all ok, and only your new drive got hot, I’d tend to suspect the new drive.
