What about you connecting the AC adaptor to the notebook and turning it on without the battery installed?

Aww man. Something must be definitely wrong in the notebook. Not surprised if it could be the motherboard.

You also mentioned: "still nothing also notice a sticky substance over parts of the board which was cleaned with alcohol/spirits" you took apart the notebook?

Yea i took the laptop apart when i installed the new AC jack in the laptop, thinking it might have something to do with it, but no.

Yes as if my client had spilled coke or something over it, one of the side USB solder points on the board acc looked like it had corrosion, until i cleaned it.
