Power Options Missing from Control Panel

My power options have disappeared.

I have no clue why my computer is suddenly going crazy. Administrator options were disabled for me even though I was the only administrator so I did some registry changes to fix it.

Now my power options are missing. sfcscan showed everything was fine.

I'm clearly missing some files.

I am using Windows 8.
 
Sorry, I don't think many here have moved to 8, myself included. I'll take a stab and say running a reg check or checking the values you changed is a good first step. Perhaps you inadvertently altered something?
 
I wouldn't limit to searchin for this issue only with Win8.
Certainly possible causes of this issue in Win7 or even Vista are the same as Win8.
With that in mind, here's a couple posts I found that have some troubleshooting tips you may try.

You may try running from an elevated command prompt

PowerCfg -RestoreDefaultSchemes

If that fails, see if you can change the settings in safe mode.
